Whether you’re looking for some decent cooking wine or planning a romantic dinner for two at home, The Stump Jump (McLaren Vale, Australia) is THE go to Shiraz to keep your budget in check. ($11-$13 retail.) For such a young wine (I usually come across 2008 vintages), it’s fairly complex and compliments the hell out of a steak(um?) dinner. Do yourself a favor and pour some of this for a dead homie tonight. Also, check out the link for a more in depth review by Spirit of Wine.
